Our Strides

Revitalization of Ajaokuta Steel Company
The Ministry is focused on reactivating the long-stalled Ajaokuta Steel Complex, engaging stakeholders to address its challenges and push it towards full operational capacity.
Promotion of Local Steel Production
Efforts are underway to boost local steel manufacturing, reduce import dependency, and foster public-private partnerships for industry growth.
Legal & Infrastructure Reforms
The Ministry is updating policies to attract investment, while improving infrastructure such as power and transport to enhance steel production efficiency
Job Creation and Capacity Building
Expanding the steel sector is expected to create jobs and training opportunities, supporting Nigeria's economic diversification goals
