About the HOD
Mr. Ime Ekrikpo holds a bachelor’s degree in Pure & Applied Chemistry (1998) from the University of Calabar. He also holds a diploma in Public Administration from the University of Abuja (2007) as well as a diploma in Geology & Mining from Nasarawa State University (2021).
He was recruited into the Federal Civil Service in 1993 as a Steel Officer and have grown through the ranks to become the Director of Metallurgical Raw Materials and Investment Promotion Department for the Ministry of Steel Development.
He has held several other offices including:
- • Director of Steel and Non-Ferrous Metals Department of the Ministry of Steel Development (2017 – 2019)
- • Director of Metallurgical Inspectorate & Raw Materials Development Department of the Ministry of Steel Development (2019 – 2022)
- • Director Investment Promotion Department & Montreal Trade Department of ministry of the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development(2022 – 2024)
- and currently Director of the Metallurgical Raw Materials and Investment Promotion Department of the Ministry of Steel Development.
